National Bal Bhavan is an institution which aims at enhancing the creative potential of children by providing them various activities, opportunities and common platform to interact, experiment, create and perform according to their age, aptitude and ability. It offers a barrier-free environment with immense possibilities of innovation, minus any stress or strain.
It caters to children between the age group of 5 to 16 years. It is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It remains closed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Gazetted Holidays. The Working hours are from 9.00 AM to 5.30 PM, Lunch Time from 1.00 PM to 1.30 PM.
On 1st Jan.,2025 (Wednesday), National Bal Bhavan will be closed for general public entry from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. |
Due to repair work of toy train at National Bal Bhavan, toy train will not run for a few days. Sorry for the inconvenience. |

Toy Train Ride Fee:
* Childern below 3yrs.: FREE
* Childern 3 to 16 yrs.: Rs. 10/- per child per ride
* Adult beyond 16 yrs. with childern: Rs. 30/- per person per ride

The National Bal Bhavan has adopted the online mode as children have been locked into their homes for over a year. This includes very regular online teaching by our Arts and Science departments, and the organization of virtual exhibitions.
