Children Library at Bal Bhavan was inaugurated by Shri. Arjun Singh. Cabinet Minister of Ministry of Human Resource and Development (HRD) on 9th July 1992.
Library has two parts.
• Children Library and
• Reference Library
Children Library has different subjects of books such as Art & Craft, Culture, Literature, Science, Mathematics, Computers General Knowledge etc.
It also has many knowledgeable Story books, Novels and Biographies which helps to develop the ethical values in children. Library has collections of comics, magazines and newspapers for the children of 5 to 16 years.
Library has an infant corner room also wherein story books with colourful pictures, soft toys and games accessories etc are available for 5 to 9 years old age group children. The facility of watching animated stores and poems are also available in children library.

The following educational and interesting competitions are organized by children library for development of children, their knowledge and enhancing reading habits in children as-
• Story Telling
• Quiz Competition
• Essay Writing Competition
• Story Writing Competition
• Creative Writing
• Poem Recitation
The Encyclopaedias are also available in reference library which contains knowledge of all the subjects to assist the children.
The books can be issued for 7 to 14 days for those children, having membership in library. The Member Children of National Bal Bhavan can get the membership of Children Library every year with submission of security of library lending Rs.100 which is refundable after the expiry date of membership card. Children can issue the books by the library membership card for 14 days. |

Library is full of knowledge and the motto of children library is to enhance the knowledge, developing ethical values, love towards books & reading habits in children.
